Pretty simple do you think you have the longest commute?
Rules: Must be your current commute and include the both ways. Should use google maps to get the time without traffic.
For example for me it’s 56 minutes. (With traffic about an 1.5 hours)
and 34 miles.

Today and tomorrow I’m commuting from Halethorpe, MD to Patuxent River NAS. Total trip is 177 miles, 4 hours.
ETA: My “normal” commute is 77.6 miles and 1:40.

Loser of this contest: Doug DeMuro.
Also, me: I only go about 18 miles round trip, and that’s only if I drop off the kids. Closer to 5 round trip if I go straight to and from work.

Round trip 5-6 days a week 64 miles about an hour and fifteen of my life wasted behind the wheel of a Camry.
Longer when there’s traffic or SNOW.

8 minutes round trip, about 1 mile each way. Used to be 80 miles round trip, 1.5 hours, but I moved. I do not have the longest commute.

No. My commute is 3.7 miles. Depending on four lights it can take anywhere from 6-12 minutes. A back route is slightly longer and more consistent at roughly 12 minutes each time.

12 mi each way. 20 min on a Sunday morning, 40 minutes during the week. So my round trip is 25 miles and over an hour.
*edit*
I was wrong...
Round trip is 16 miles and between an hour and an hour and a half.

Am I eligible as an outside sales rep? I drive about 3000 miles per month for my job. It technically isn’t a commute because I am not going to the same place everyday but ...

60 miles one way.
120 miles, minimum 2 hours.
It took me 3 hours to get home one Friday because traffic was so bad.
It took me 1.5 hours to get home during snowpacalypse when other people were stuck in their cars for 12+ hours.

I’m going to break the rules! This isn’t my current commute, but it was my longest and is one of the reasons I am more selective about where I live.
156 miles (75.5 each way), 2hrs:38min (1:19 each way).
At the same time, my wife was traveling 70 miles a day and she spent roughly 2hrs:30min on her commute. She was going with traffic, I was going against the flow.

I think we should have a shortest commute thread! My commute is 4.1 miles, usually takes 8-10 minutes but my record is 6. Slight variation to the route but the main drag is the same everyday

Next we’ll have a trucker post from his rig somewhere on westbound I-40.
“Yeah, well I put in 2,400 miles a week and my co-driver does the same. We are on the road 16 hours a day for an average of 4,800 miles per week. So, does that count?”

Daily driver? 98 Civic EX Coupe 5-speed.
I’m a delivery driver, so I put ~400 miles/week on it. But barely any of that is to and from work.

As much as enjoy driving stick, I’d rather have an automatic for this job. Forty hours of city driving a week makes for a stiff, aching left knee.
And FWD is awful in the snow.
Considering that, I’m currently looking for an old auto Impreza as a potential replacement daily beater.

I’ll just sell you my LGT bro. Oh wait, it’s not auto. Stick with the Impreza idea. Outback Impreza!

Yup. I’m fortunate because I go against traffic except for a bit of 285.
I was making plans to stay with a friend during snowpacalypse but decided to risk it. Made it home carefully but no problem. Lots of people spun out on the road. I made it with about 30-45 minutes to spare because that's when the hill near my exit froze over and tractor trailers blocked it when they got stuck.

Ordinarily, I’m only about 8 miles from my office, so it’s about 20 minutes. But, I cover the entire Delmarva peninsula, so for meetings and whatnot, it can be a decent drive. Especially down to the Virginia part - can be 4 hours or so one way.
